The OpenRG™ file server module enables a home/SOHO gateway, connected to a low-cost external disk, to become an intelligent and easily managed home storage device. The file server module allows home users to store and share family albums, music and videos, and SOHO users to store and share business information.

Built-in hot-plug support allows storage devices attached to an OpenRG-powered gateway to be automatically recognized and represented in OpenRG's web-based network map. In addition, comprehensive file server administration, including partition management and disk maintenance, is provided via OpenRG's web-based management and CLI.



Accessing the OpenRG File Server

  1. Click on File Server icon on OpenRG network map
  2. Select disk partition
  3. Access files through standard Windows interface
The OpenRG file server is pre-integrated with additional OpenRG modules to ease gateway development, and supports USB 1.1/2.0 and FireWire storage devices and standard file systems.
